Gabby Concepcion was the first actor to be put on a hot seat Sunday during “The Buzz’s Tough 10” questions asked by host Kris Aquino.

During the “Tough 10” questions, Concepcion answered a rumor about his alleged relationship with Pops Fernandez as well as his upcoming “date” with daughter KC Concepcion.

He also provided details on how he and former wife, actress Sharon Cuneta, have settled their differences.

Below are the top 10 hard questions and Concepcion’s responses.

10. It's your birthday on November 5, ang hinihingi mo na gift [kay KC] a badminton date? Why?

It can be any kind of date ang sabi ko madalas kaming maglaro, ang sabi ko ang pinakamagaling na panahon na magkita kami sa badminton court. May quality time kami. Sa sports naman.

9. Ilan sa mga naka-relasyon mo sa buong buhay mo ang taga-showbiz? 12-50?

Pinakamababa lang.

Around 12? Mga ganoon lang siguro.

8. Sa mga artistang naka-relasyon mo, sino ang pinakainiyakan mo?

Hindi ko alam. Meron akong memory lapse.

7. Babalik ka na nga ba sa Amerika pagkatapos ng "Iisa Pa Lamang"?

Hindi ako babalik doon. Pupunta ako ng Europe. Siguro kung pupunta ako ng Amerika, bakasyon lang.

[Sa Europe], it's for Channel 2 also. TFC, yes. Sa Italy kami pupunta. Isang araw lang kami doon tapos babalik din kami dito. Tapos pupunta kami ng Amerika para makasama ko 'yong mother ko ‘tsaka mga kapatid ko kasi ito ang first Christmas na wala si Daddy. [Sa January], nandito na ako noon.

6. May pagsisisi ka ba sa naging desisyon mo na bumalik sa showbiz?

Wala. May dahilan kung kung bakit ako bumalik dito sa Pilipinas at maganda na bumalik ako dito sa Pilipinas dahil merong pagbabago na dapat sigurong mangyari.

5. Kung ikaw pagpipiliin sinong gusto mong maging leading lady sa comeback movie mo?

Marami kasi. Hindi ko pa alam. I know na magandang makasama si Claudine (Barretto), si Lorna (Tolentino), Anne Curtis, Bea (Alonzo), Judy Ann Santos. Marami akong pwedeng banggitin, sana 'yong hindi ko mababanggit kasama din sila.

4. Nagkaroon ba kayo ng relasyon ni Pops Fernandez?

Narinig ko na yan. Magkaibigan na kami. Siya ang aking adviser pagdating sa concerts, mga singing. Hindi pa kami kumakanta noon magkasama na kami so siya ang nag-a-advise sa akin. Maraming advise na nabigay sa akin si Pops.

(On Fernadez's boyfriend Jomari Yllana), nagpunta sila sa wake ng daddy ko.

3. Nagkaayos na ba kayo ni Sharon Cuneta?

Nagkaayos na kami. Magkaibigan lang kami. Okay na kami. Nag-uusap na kami. Noong namatay ang dad, tinext ko siya sinabi ko, 'kamamatay lang ni Dad.' Nagtext siya, nagtext din ako. Sabi ko nahihirapan akong magtext so tinawagan ko na lang at nag-usap na kami.

Everything is timing. Ito na ang time.

2. May kinalaman ba si (daughter) KC sa pagbabati ninyo o desisyon ninyong dalawa ito?

Walang kinalaman si KC although madalas kami ni KC na nagkikita, nag-uusap. Pero kung may kinalaman siya dito hindi ko alam pero hindi siya 'yong unang tumawag para mag-usap kami.

1. Matapos ang mahabang panahon, masasabi mo ba sa puso mo na tapos na ang lahat ng gulo sa pagitan ninyo ni Sharon Cuneta?

Oo tapos na. Maganda nga itong nag-uusap na kami. In fact, para sa akin matagal nang tapos na iyon. Timing lang ang hinihintay para magkausap kami.

Meron kaming pinagdaanan. We had happy times together. I know she has a family now, I have a family now. I'm happy now and I'm sure she's happy now and I hope we maintain our relationship and I hope we're both happy until the day we die.

Maganda kung gagawa kami ng pelikula. Maganda 'yon bakit hindi? Anytime. Maganda din magkasama kami ni KC, kaming tatlo pero 'yon ang isang malaking panaginip na sana mangyari one day. Pwedeng kaming dalawa lang, pwedeng kaming tatlo... it's not our call. the sign will probably have to come from... I hope the Lord will give us that opportunity.

By this time, nakatapos na ng isang pelikula si Rufa Mae Quinto para sa kanyang sariling On-Q 28 Productions, na co-production ng Viva Films, ang Like A Virgin (dating Civil Status: Single).

Nag-umpisa na rin siya para sa 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival entry na ihahabol sa Disyembre, ang Desperadas 2.

Proud si Rufa Mae sa kumbinasyon ng mga artistang kasama niya sa Like A Virgin, at kung i-describe niya ang mga ito ay "the next important heartthrobs"—Alfred Vargas, Mark Bautista, Jon Avila, at Paolo Contis.

"Si Alfred, let's face it, isa siya sa pinakamahusay, if not the best, among his contemporaries," sabi ni Rufa Mae. "Pagdating sa drama, number one si Alfred para sa akin.

"Si Mark Bautista, balladeer na artista. Aminin nating pupuwede talaga siyang maging leading man. Nagsu-soap opera rin siya. Parang kokonti lang yung katulad ni Mark, o nag-iisa lang siya sa ganoong level.

"Si Jon, pinakabagong guwapo na may future. May future daw, o! Bagay yung role niya sa movie dahil he plays the role of a bartender na galing sa ibang bansa. Mayaman ang role ni Jon, nag-stay lang siya sa Manila at nagtrabaho para lang gumimik at uminom. Parang ganoon."

Tiyak na matutuwa rin ang marami sa portrayal ni Paolo Contis sa Like A Virgin, na nakatakdang ipalabas next year pa.

"Isa si Paolo sa mahuhusay, mapa-drama or comedy. In this movie, he plays the role of a gay na may lover na model. Kaya enjoy itong movie na ito at puno ng katatawanan," sabi ni Rufa Mae.

Pawang mahuhusay ang suporta ni Rufa Mae sa nabanggit na pelikula. Gumaganap din bilang mga kaibigan niya rito sina Mylene Dizon, Angelu de Leon, Desiree del Valle, at LJ Moreno.

"Sa istorya kasi, lahat sila, nakapag-asawa na; ako na lang ang hindi. Kaya nga virgin pa ako!" at saka napabungisngis uli siya.

"Thirty years old na ako sa movie na 'yan na parang naha-harass sa paghahanap ng mapapangasawa," dugtong niya.

RUFA MAE AS A SINGLE WOMAN. Sa tunay na buhay, nakaka-relate ba si Rufa Mae sa role niya since hindi pa rin naman siya lumalagay sa tahimik?

"Nakaka-relate ako in such a way na sa tunay na buhay, hindi ko naman kailangang i-pressure ang sarili ko. Oo nga, hindi na rin ako bumabata, pero I don't need to rush. Yung character ko sa movie, pumipili siya ng matino. Sa tunay na buhay, I don't want to settle with someone na hindi ko nakikita ang sarili ko na magiging masaya at kuntento sa piling niya, di ba?

"I've been a good person pa rin, kahit ano'ng sabihin ng iba riyan. Wala naman akong in-echos nang bonggang-bongga. It's my choice na rin to do everything as much as I could. Yun kasi ang makakapagpasaya sa akin na habang kaya ko pa at may maibibigay pa, gagawin ko na," paliwanag ng sexy comedienne.

As a single woman, enjoy pa rin si Rufa Mae sa estado niyang nabibili pa rin ang gusto niya, nagagawa kung ano ang maibigan niya.

"Hindi madali," pag-amin niya. "Naiisip ko na rin yung paglagay sa tahimik, pero parang hindi pa rin. Nasanay na ako ng ganito. Masaya naman ako. Marami pang puwedeng gawin. Gusto ko pang magbasa ng mga libro, movies na gustong panoorin. Gusto ko pang gumawa ng maraming pelikula, 'tapos yung business ko pa.

"Hayan nga't nagsimula na ako sa Desperadas na inumaga na ako sa set, kaya paano mo isisiksik ang lahat ng 'yan na gusto kong gawin? Maiisip ko pa bang mag-asawa sa ganitong situwasyon?"

Ngayon pa lang inaani ni Rufa Mae ang pinaghirapan niya ng mahigit 14 years.

"Kahit naiisip kong marami na akong napaligaya, marami na akong napatawa sa mga ginawa ko, o naka-inspire man ako, gusto ko pa ring magpatuloy. Magagawa ko rin siguro 'yan kapag nag-asawa ako. Pero mas malaya kong magagawa ang lahat kung single pa rin ako.

"Nag-e-enjoy ako na nakapagpapaligaya ng mga tao. Makatulong hangga't kakayanin ko. Ibinabalik ko lang yung ibinigay ng industriya sa akin, kasi dito na ako lumaki. Talent manager Becky Aguila's aide, Mel Pulmano, was named by some spreadsheets last week as the one who supposedly stole Jennylyn Mercado's money—cash amounting to more than a million. (read related story )



Yesterday, October 25, 2008, Mel finally speaks up through an interview with Startalk, a defense against the accusations thrown at her.



Mel related that last October 6, Tuesday, a conversation between her and Becky transpired and the discussion revolved around Becky giving Mel some advice in combating insomnia, in which the latter was currently experiencing. Valium, it seemed, was the choice of drug recommended by Becky for the sleepless Mel, so she proceeded to take some.



According to Mel, she slept like a log after taking the drug. On October 8, Wednesday, she was rushed by relatives to two hospitals but was not admitted due to lack of money. It was only on Friday, October 9, when she was finally admitted to the third hospital—where she finally woke up.



Based on Mel's story, she was asleep from October 6 to 9. Due to her four-day absence, Mel didn't get any work done, including the issuing of checks. By this time, news about Mel started popping up on spreadsheets. Last October 12, Mel agreed to be interview by Startalk to deny the accusations thrown at her.



"Simula nung nag-artista si Jennylyn, si Tita Becky na ang may hawak ng pera ni Jen," Mel said. "Tapos, kahit ano doon, e, walang wini-withdraw si Jen...si Tita Becky lang nagwi-withdraw doon. ‘Tapos kung ano ang kailangan ni Jennylyn, e, ibinibigay sa akin ni Tita Becky ‘tapos ibinibigay ko na kay Jen."



Mel added that Becky also worked hard on getting Jennylyn's house that was for sale in Batasan.



"Binigyan lang si Jen ng noong una, five hundred thousand. Kailangan... bilhin na, kasi dapat unahan na ang GMA na nag-aalok ng 3 million o 4 million yata. ‘Tapos 'pag binigyan daw pera si Jen, e, hindi na tatanggapin ang alok ng GMA."



According to Mel, she announced that she was leaving Becky when the time came that Becky no longer had any money to shell out on her employees. "Wala nang pasuweldo," said Mel. "'Tapos gusto niya, ako lang daw maiwan... mayroon pa kasi akong mga tseke ko kaya sabi ko sa kanya na pondohan niya na."



PRESSURED. Mel said that Jennylyn Mercado was the only talent left that was stagnant, so, the pressure was on for Mel.



"Wala naman daw pinapasok na pera si Jen kaya dapat hanapan daw ng trabaho at alisin daw lahat ng nakapaligid kay Jen," said Mel. "Si Tita Lydia [Jennylyn's aunt and adoptive mother], alam na gusto tanggalin ni Becky ang pagiging nanay niya—kailangan bastusin ni Jen si Tita Lydia, kailangan ‘di respetuhin para mawala na si Tita Lydia."



Mel has decided to spill everything she knew to the public because her name was now on the line and due to the negative write-ups about her. She also disclosed that Becky and her otehr talent, Angel Locsin, are not in good terms. Mel said that the two are always fighting because of Angel's transfer.



Last October 22, Mel sent text messages to the press where Becky's two other talents, Valerie Concepcion and Joross Gamboa, were also mentioned.



The text message read, "Wala pong katotohanan na nagnakaw po ako. Wala po sa akin at hindi ko rin ginamit ang pera ni Valerie Concepcion. Wala din po sa akin at hindi ko din ginamit ang pera ni Joross Gamboa. Wala din akong ninakaw kay Jennylyn Mercado. Siya pa nga po ang may utang sa akin sa pag-abono sa gastusin niya sa house.



"Isa lang po akong tauhan na sumusunod sa mga pinag-uutos. Simple lang ang aking pamumuhay. Ang mga naglalabasan na balita tungkol sa akin ay malinaw na paninirang-puri. At naaawa ako sa mga anak ko na masyadong naapektuhan sa mga ipinalabas sa news. Sasagutin ko po ang lahat ng paratang sa tamang venue. Hindi sa paraan na malisyoso na ginagawa nila. Ang aming attorney ay gumagawa ng mga legal na hakbangin."



"AKALA KO MAHAL NIYA AKO." Mel, who was by now crying probably due to the lasting effect of Valium in her system, added, "Akala ko mahal niya ako, e. Kasi ako, mahal ko siya. Sumunod naman ako sa lahat ng gusto niya. ‘Tapos hindi niya ako matulungan at gusto niya pa ako makulong...wala nga akong pera, e."



Startalk contacted Becky Aguila to have her say on the issue but her only reply was a text saying that her lawyers did not advise her to give any statements.

Maging daan kaya ng pagbabati ng dating magkaibigang sina Pauleen Luna at Michelle Madrigal ang pagsasama nila sa bagong telefantasya ng GMA Network na “Luna Mystica?"

Sa Chika Minute portion ng 24 Oras ng GMA News nitong Miyerkules, kapwa dumalo sina Pauleen at Michelle sa story conference ng “Luna Mystica." Ngunit kahit magkalapit lang ang kanilang inuupuan, kapuna-puna ang hindi nila pagpapansinan.

Ayon sa ulat, mahigit dalawang taon na ring hindi nagkikibuan ang dalawang dalaga na ang sinasabing dahilan ay ang kanilang ex-boyfriend na si JC de Vera na napapanood naman sa “Lalola."

Unang naging girlfriend ni JC si Pauleen, at sumunod naman si Michelle. Sa kabila nito, madiin ang pagtanggi ng dalawa na si JC ang dahilan ng kanilang hidwaan.

Kaya naman marami ang nagtatanong - may pagkakataon pa kayang manumbalik ang kanilang pagkakaibigan?

“Ako OK lang naman ako. Matagal na rin naman wala sa akin ‘yon. ‘Di ba ‘pag sa mga interviews ko wala naman talaga. Hello, ibaon na kaya sa limot ‘yon," ayon kay Michelle.

Sambit naman ni Pauleen: “Ako rin naman gusto kong maaayos, and I’m sure si Michelle din gusto ring maayos. Wala namang tao na may gustong kaaway."

Magkakasama ang dalawa sa bagong proyekto ng Kapuso Network na “Luna Mystica" kung saan bida si Heart Evangelista.

Sa naturang fantaserye, gaganap na matalik na magkaibigan sina Pauleen at Michelle kaya inaasahan na magiging daan ito upang magkaayos ang dalawa.

“Like what said (before) you know dapat right time, right place, right opportunity," ayon kay Pauleen.

“I guess kung mag-usap kami if ever mangyari yon walang camera, walang ibang taong nakaharap. Para personal talagang masabi mo kung ano ang sama ng loob mo," paliwanag naman ni Michelle.

For the last segment of the October 25 episode of Eat Bulaga, two performers returned to television after dealing with their current health conditions.

With his band Pupil, Ely Buendia performed "Disconnection Notice," prompting audience members and the Dabarkads to get up on their feet and dance wildly as the vocalist sang the lyrics "Turn off the lights now / Turn off the lights now."

Sporting a much leaner frame and his trademark shades, Ely even showed off some dance moves as he performed on the GMA-7 show earlier today. It will be recalled that the former vocalist of The Eraserheads experienced chest pains during their August 30 reunion concert at The Fort. He had to be rushed to the hospital and undergo his third angioplasty to widen his blocked blood vessels.

After performing the song, Francis Magalona then appeared, inspiring yet another round of wild applause and cheers. Kiko, as he is often called, has not been hosting the noontime show for the past 85 days to give him a chance to undergo chemotherapy for his leukemia.

As soon as the TV host-rapper stepped on the Eat Bulaga stage, he told the crowd: "I'm back home!" Francis then sang the Eraserheads song "Superproxy" with Ely. The Master Rapper could not hide his excitement in performing once again as he declared, "Ladies and gentlemen, it's good to be back home!"

The two ended their song number with a bear hug. Julia Clarete and Keempee de Leon met with Ely and Francis on stage. When asked if this means that they will be back to doing gigs, Ely replied, "Definitely!" while Francis pointed out, "Mga dalawang rehearsals na lang, magho-host na uli ako dito sa Eat Bulaga."

Before ending his gig, Ely made it a point to promote Pupil's album titled Wild Life. "Napansin ko lang ang ganda ng photography diyan," says Keempee about the album's back cover featuring the photos of Ely and his bandmates. "Rinig ko si Francis Magalona raw ang photographer." "Mukhang tatangapin" ang sagot ng talent manager na si Leo Dominguez nang tanungin ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kung tuloy ang alaga niyang si Ogie Alcasid sa Desperadas 2 ng Regal Entertainment. Si Ogie ang kinukuha ng Regal bilang kapalit ni Eugene Domingo pagkatapos i-pull out ang comedienne ng kanyang manager na si Ricky Gallardo sa pelikula.

"Done deal" naman ang sagot ng isang taga-Regal with the same question. Ang schedule na lang daw ni Ogie ang inaayos. Kung hindi sa November 8, ay sa November11 na ang first shooting day ni Ogie pagkatapos ng grand finals ng Celebrity Duets, ang singing contest na hinu-host nila ng kasintahang si Regine Velasquez.

Hindi na ni-revise ang script ng Desperadas 2. Role pa rin ni Lugaluda, ang African princess at long-lost half-sister nina Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto, Marian Rivera, at Iza Calzado ang gagampanan ni Ogie.

Singer Christian Bautista recently performed alongside Indonesia's Andre Hehaussa, singer and songwriter, and India's Mark Lazaro, lead vocalist of Indian band Karimasix, in the 1st Asian Beach Games held at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Park, Bali, Indonesia.

"We needed prominent male singers from other Asian countries and Christian Bautista is a name everyone knows. There is no reason for us not to pick him," said Tanta Hiaiya, Indonesian director of the games' opening ceremonies.

The three singers, introduced as "The Asian Divos," sang "To Be One," an original Indonesian song composed for the event. A 70-piece orchestra, conducted by musical director and songwriter Erwin Gutawa, accompanied the performers.

Indonesian President H.E. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and a crowd estimated at 4,000 were present.

Local media extensively covered the 2-hour main event. Also present were correspondents from ESPN and Star Sports.

The opening ceremonies' main stage stood before a massive and elaborately sculptured Balinese eagle, called the Garuda. Behind the Garuda was the famous mountain-sized Vishnu statue. In front was a lit staircase, which led to a man-made beach where sand and water flowed.

Around 1,000 dancers opened the event. They performed cultural dances in opulent costumes with props and colorful banners that depicted the history of Indonesia from the 7th century to present.

A parade of athletes from 45 Asian countries, competing in 19 beach sports events, concluded the affair.

The Bali National Asian Beach Games Committee reportedly spent a whopping US$3 million for the ceremonies. It is by far the biggest national event in Indonesia this year.

Oman, Muscat in the Middle East will host the 2nd Asian Beach Games in 2009.
