Ely Buendia discharged from hospital - report

Popular singer Ely Buendia who suffered heart attack during the Eraserheads' reunion concert last week has been discharged from the Philippine Heart Center, a television report said Friday.
The TV report, aired over GMA News' 24 Oras, said the information was relayed by Buendia’s manager Day Cabuhat.
According to Cabuhat, Buendia has recovered after undergoing his third angioplasty to clear his blocked arteries.
But Buendia needs to take a rest, the report said.
Cabuhat said Buendia expressed his gratitude to those who prayed, visited and supported him.
On August 30, the band’s much awaited concert reunion was cut short following Buendia’s heart attack.
Buendia was rushed to the Makati Medical Center and his former band mates, accompanied by his sister Lally, broke the sad news to thousands of fans who attended the concert.
Organizers said fans understood the reasons for the abrupt end of the concert, but they requested for a follow-up reunion concert.
On Sunday, Buendia was transferred to the Philippine Heart Center.
In 2007, the singer also suffered a heart attack while his new band Pupil was performing in Laguna. He underwent two angioplasty procedures at the PHC. - Fidel Jimenez, GMANews.TV

Will Mark Herras, Jennylyn team up again?

- Fidel Jimenez, GMANews.TV

Jolina opts for a different Destiny

Singing straight from the heart is what Jolina Magdangal does in her latest album, Jolina Destiny. After all she has gone through, expect a mature Jolina giving every word of the songs the right emotion as she bids adieu to her teeny-bopper image in Paper Roses.Destiny is Jolina's character in GMA Films' I.T.A.L.Y (I Trust And Love You) which will open in theaters on Sept. 17. The movie also stars Dennis Trillo, Rufa Mae Quinto and Eugene Domingo.
"If you notice, I have rock and glamour shots in the album," says Jolina of what one will expect from her in the latest GMA Records musical outing.
"That's because I have two tracks (Umibig Ka and Isang Taon written by Mark Tupas of Shamrock) that are rock (but not yet the Bring Me To Life type). It is a sort of introduction I like to do rock in the future."
Asked why she tries to go beyond her comfort zone, Jolina replies. "I just want to make others feel that I can do this kind of music and not to be typecast in a certain genre. I do this because I want to."
Listeners can feel this change of musical direction in Jolina Destiny. However, for the meantime, they have to be entertained with Jolina's soothing voice and ponder the songs' lyrics and the emotions Jolina put in every rendition.
Jolina Destiny is composed of 10 tracks Jolina personally chose. She spreads the bliss of love in When I Fall in Love and the bitter side of it in Stitches & Burns. The Fra Lippo Lippi hit will hopefully win the hearts of those with a penchant for New Wave and '80s music. Umibig Ka and Isang Taon are songs Jolina thinks she can tell the stories behind them.
Other ditties that will touch the sentimental and vulnerable in us are Pangako ng Puso, Tuwing Kasama Kita, When I Close My Eyes, Buksan Ang 'yong Puso and Will of the Wind.
"I have kept all my songs in my computer," says Jolina on how she would assess her performance as a singer. "When I have nothing to do at home, I play and listen to them. I have noticed that I have changed from the time I recorded my first song. I was like tweetums before. I felt that delivering and singing well the song was just my concern then. Now, I have to let my emotion out while singing the song. If I have to cry, then I just do it."
Is Jolina happy with the final results of Pinoy Idol?
"It was controversial because some didn't agree how the results turned out," replies the Idol judge. "I think we just did what we had to do. The public had the final say. It was frustrating but we had to follow the rules and we reminded everyone to please vote wisely.
"Let's give her (Gretchen Espina) a chance. She is willing to try her best to deserve the title. She wouldn't be able to make it if she has no talent at all.
"During the last performance night, she showed confidence and performed as if it was her last."
With her latest album and a movie, Jolina is destined to cook up good things for her fans and for the industry. So, what's the next best thing she will look forward to do and to celebrate?
"My 20th year in showbusiness," answers Jolina. "I might do a concert, movie or a weekly TV series (for that special moment in my life)

Angelika dela Cruz fearlessly accepts ‘contravida’ roles
"Then I came to realize na okey naman pala ang mga ganyang roles.
ORION HAS NO CHOICE.
ALBUM ON HOLD.
- Philippine Entertainment Portal

Dolphy thanks moviegoers; hopes for film industry revival
King of comedy Dolphy extended his appreciation to all the people who supported and watched his latest movie "Dobol Trobol" with comedy prince Vic Sotto.
In an interview, Dolphy said that the movie and honors he received from his recently published biography, as well as ABS-CBN's special tribute to him on his birthday--all of it meant a lot to his family.
Maraming salamat," he said.
Dolphy said that his film is now on its 4th week and still showing in 60 theaters nationwide. "Showing pa 4th week na ngayon," he said.
He said that he's really elated with "Dobol Trobol" not only because he's teamed up with Sotto but because it took almost three years for him to finally do another movie.
"Awa ng Diyos after three years na hindi ako gumagawa (ng pelikula) parang nakarecover na," Dolphy said.
When asked if there's a sequel of the film 'Dobol Trobol' he replied: "Well pinaplano, pinaplano."
The veteran actor also said he is wishing for a revival of the Philippine movie industry.
"Mabuti naman sana ay magpatulay na ito at manumbalik ang movie industry at sa ganoon ay maraming magkaroon ng hanapbuhay," he said.
Dolphy will soon grace television screens with ABS-CBN's drama-fantasy series "Utoy." In the series the actor will be working with child star Makisig Morales. He said that while it was fun working with Morales,he still a had a hard time doing dramatic scenes.
"Well mayroon akong ginagawang telenovela sa 2 'yung 'Utoy'. Masyadong mabigat sa puso," he explained.

Dennis Trillo confirms breakup with Cristine Reyes
At the presscon of his latest film with GMA Films, I.T.A.L.Y. (I Trust And Love You) held last September 1 at the 17th floor of GMA Network Center, Dennis Trillo admitted that his relationship with Cristine Reyes has finally come to an end. Although still very careful with his words, the soft-spoken matinee idol said, "I am happily single."
Both Dennis and Cristine never really admitted their relationship, but people in and out of showbiz knew for a fact that there is something going on between them. It can be recalled that when Dennis's former girlfriend Carlene Aguilar went to the United States last year to give birth to their child, Cristine's name was immediately linked to Dennis.
After giving birth, Carlene returned to the Philippines and Dennis finally admitted that he is the father of Carlene's child. During a taping of All Star K at the Broadway Centrum, Carlene confronted Cristine because of Dennis. That incident became big news and it also confirmed earlier reports that Dennis and Cristine are indeed seeing together.
Whether or not there was break in their relationship, Dennis and Cristine continued seeing each other without admitting to the public their real score. Then came the news that they have broken up.
"Siguro magtu-two weeks na," Dennis replied when asked how long they've been apart.
Without giving too much information, Dennis related his feeling about the breakup.
What was the reason of the breakup? Is it true that Cristine made him choose between her and his career or did she make any demands?
"Wala, wala. Ayoko na sanang idetalye," Dennis said.
But who initiated the breakup?
Pero siyempre, yung long term yung iniisip namin... Sacrifice siyempre, malaking sacrifice," said Dennis calculatedly to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
DIFFICULT DECISION. But Dennis admitted that it was a difficult decision to make.
"Mahirap, siyempre. Mahirap talaga.
Is this a career move on his part?
Was his relationship with Cristine complicated?
But Dennis insists both of them fought for their feelings with each other.
Do they still have communication?
Although Dennis continues to be linked with several actresses—like his leading lady in Magdusa Ka and the upcoming Gagambino and his co-stars in I.T.A.L.Y. Rufa Mae Quinto and Italian singer-actress Andrea de Lugo—Dennis says he has no immediate plans of entering into another relationship or even reuniting with Carlene.
- Philippine Entertainment Portal

Pinoy Dream Academy top scholars assess chances of winning
"Pinoy Dream Academy" Season 2's Grand Dream Nights, which will take place on September 13 and 14 at the Cuneta Astrodome, are just around the corner.
To see the top six scholar's perception on who they think is really deserving to be this season's Grand Star Dreamer, they were asked to gauge and rank themselves.
In the assessment, the Top 6 Scholars had to divulge what they think would be the final rankings.
Only Miguel put himself on the number one spot citing the fact that he is in a competition and that he naturally wants to win. He also reasoned that nobody joins a competition to settle for anything less than the grand prize.
The rest of the Scholars chose somebody else to put on top while placing themselves somewhere in the Top 3.
Early the next day, the Scholars woke up to the tallied results of the assessment put up on a board in the living area. Bugoy got the most votes followed by Laarni, Liezel, Van, Miguel, and Cris. They were amused by what they saw and even joked about it.
When they were asked in the Counseling Room to express how they felt when they saw the board, different opinions arose. Miguel said that he was not surprised that the others put him at the bottom but he insisted that he is as deserving as the rest.
The same can be said about Cris who said she saw it coming but she stood firm in saying that she has improved a lot and that she can level with the rest.
Laarni confessed that she might have under-assessed herself and that if she could do it again, she would place herself on the top.
Van got a little disappointed when he learned that the others do not think that he deserves to be in the Top 3. He thinks that he has what it takes to clinch one of the highest spots.
Both Liezel and Bugoy saw the results as a reason to push themselves more.

Piolo Pascual talks about 'Land Down Under'
Popular actor Piolo Pascual shared his excitement for his upcoming movie project with actress Angel Locsin entitled “Land Down Under.”
“Iba iyong pressure, iba iyong ‘Lobo’. But for a movie it’s a different challenge definitely all together,” Pascual told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
The actor said that aside from doing a first movie with Locsin, it’s also his first time to work with movie director Rory Quintos.
Pascual said that he and Locsin will be shooting in Bukidnon and in Darwin, Australia for their cowboy/cowgirl scenes.
“I’m looking forward to it, at first time ko po itong Bukidnon and we'll be filming in Australia as well. So it’s definitely a welcome challenge,” he said.
“I always look forward to the movies that I do, because iba lagi ang approach. And with ‘direk’ Rory you can be sure na it’s a nice movie na hindi pababayaan, after all her critically acclaimed movies."
Pascual shared that as preparations for his role in the movie, he and Locsin are now training for horseback-riding under Vic Barba and actress-equestrienne Mikee Cojuangco.
Pascual and Locsin do their trainings at Manila Polo Club.
They will also do some of the popular sports in Bukidonl.
“Marami, all the sports they do in Bukidnon iyong how they pin down iyong bull or how they race with the horses. It’s gonna be pretty physical,” Pascual said.
The actor admitted he had some misgivings in portraying the role of cowboy, since he has to act as if he is really experienced and trained to be one.
“With the trainings that we’ve had for more than a month so far po ay nagugustuhan ko naman iyong pagho-horsebackriding. I never thought that I was really gonna enjoy, masakit at first,” he said.
Pascual shared that for the first day of his horseback riding training he got blisters since he didn’t know how to ride. But as time went by he got the hang of it.
“It's something that I enjoyed doing and I feel good knowing na hindi siya mahirap na trabaho kasi na-e-enjoy ko siya,” he said.
To ensure the safety of Pascual and Locsin the ABS-CBN management got them insured while doing the movie.
Piolo Pascual is a member of ABS-CBN's Star Magic. He is preparing for his out of the country shows with other stars like John Lloyd Cruz.
He also has a coffee table book entitled "Piolo: Believing" that showcases his career highlights.
Piolo started his career in 1997 and had his first big movie break entitled "Lagarista" in 2000 where he received his first Gawad Urian nomination for Best Actor.
He also starred in ABS-CBN's series "Sa Piling Mo" last 2006 with actress Judy Ann Santos and last year's "Walang Kapalit" with Claudine Baretto.

Francis M grants interview with Showbiz Central
So, may kissing scene and this is the first time na totoong kissing scene. Dati kasi, puro daya lang. Alam n'yo na, I have to take it to the next level, yung kissing scene and yung love scene. But not naman exaggerated, just to imply na, you know, we're gonna have a baby."
"Ako talaga ang very conservative. Pero right now, sa tinanggap kong role sa show na ito, I think maiintindihan nila kasi in all my years in show business, heto, ngayon pa lang ako gumagawa ng mature na roles.
"So my dad and my mom," patuloy niya, "they are very understanding and they are very supportive. In everything that I do, my dad and my mom are like, go, go, go!"
FRANCIS ON THE PHONE.
Sabi ni Francis, "Hey Pia, I miss you and all of the Dabarkads in Eat Bulaga! And, of course, before anything else, I'd like to say that I'm very proud of Maxene with her new role here [Una Kang Naging Akin] and, of course, her new TV show. Me and her mom will support for her for this nice, nice project."
"When I saw the trailer a couple of days ago, actually, kinilig na ako, e," sagot ni Francis.
"Siyempre, it's inevitable na Maxene will be doing this kind of roles. She's turning 22 on November and it's just right that she graduates into this kind of role.
"And, you know, people might think that mature roles are just relegated to showing some skin... Mature roles means that she can attack the role, play an older woman and not the usual teenage roles that she usually play. So, I'm very proud of her. And I'm also happy that she chose to do her kissing scene with a very good actor, Wendell, who is a good friend of mine and I respect him very much."
FRANCIS SAYS THANK YOU.
"Before anything else, I would like to thank all the people who have prayed for me and supported me and showed their efforts in more ways than one. Senator Richard Gordon, he's the one who is really taking care of me for the Red Cross. Of course, there's Tita Rosa Rosal and Toni Rose [Gayda] who's always there. And of course, my sister Maricar who is feeding me and giving me the nourishment. There are too many people... And, of course, the last but not the least, the Eat Bulaga! Dabarkads family. TVJ [Tito, Vic, & Joey], Mr. Tony Tuviera.
"All of you, I know that you're always there behind me. My strength is taken from knowing that you are all rallying and making me stronger when you have faith that I'll be able to live through this. And of course, last but not the least, to my family who has been always there, my pillar of strength. My brothers and sisters who call me up from the States.
"Of course, Pia and my children, Una, Maxene, Frank, Nicolo, Elmo, and all the children...they're too many!" natawa niyang sabi. "And Max, who's always there. Of course, when I watch Eat Bulaga! every day, it brings a smile to my face. You know, it's like a smile a day keeps the pain away."
Sabi ni Francis, "I hope to be back soon and once again, I would like to congratulate Maxene and also, the GMA family, thank you very much. Of course, Direk Joel Lamangan for bringing out the best in my daughter.
Aniya, "Papa, I want you to know na kahit na mature role na ‘to, I'm still your baby girl, I'm still daddy's girl, always, always daddy's girl. I love you so much! Thank you, thank you. I wouldn't be where I am right now if it wasn't for you and mama. I love you."
Sagot naman ni Francis, "This is a good match, Max, because your mature role is matching with my immature fatherhood, okay? You take care, I love you, dear."
Pia told Maxene that illness in the family is always a downer. But as she can see it, there's a positive side on it, too.
"Yeah, I chose to say that this is a positive thing, too," pagsang-ayon ni Maxene. "The family is closer to each other. Mom and dad are...attach na nga raw si Papa sa kanya. Sorry, I said it again. It's very good. It's blessing in disguise because everything is going great. The first step talaga in this kind of situation is to have a positive attitude." - Philippine Entertainment Portal

Zanjoe feels jitters working with Maricel Soriano
Young actor Zanjoe Marudo shared his experiences working with veteran actress, Maricel Soriano for ABS-CBN's upcoming mini-horror series "Florinda."
The actor admitted feeling intimidated by Soriano especially during the first taping day for the project.
"Nakakakaba talaga.
Marudo said that before taping a scene, Soriano would approach him and actress Roxanne Guinoo, his love interest in the series. She would give them advice on how to improve their acting.
"Bago naman kami magsimula kasi kinakausap niya ako kinakausap niya si Roxanne so naging okay na parang kapag nag-eksena kami tinuturuan niya kami, pinaayuhan niya kami," he added.
Marudo said that though he feels nervous working with Soriano, he is giving his best to make sure that the actress will only say good words about his acting.
"At saka nilabanan ko iyong kaba ko at takot ko na kapag naka-eksena ko siya," he said.
In "Florinda", Marudo portrays the role of Archie, Guinoo's boyfriend who plans to marry her and settle down outside the country. They encounter problems because of Florinda (Soriano).
So iyon, ipaglalaban niya kung ako o iyong ate niya," Marudo said.
The actor proved his versatility doing drama and action TV projects. He admitted that doing a horror show is his hardest project to date.
Marudo started his career as a ramp model. He has turned into one of the most sought-after actors in the country and topbills several television and movie projects.
He is one of the three leading men of Anne Curtis in ABS-CBN’s television series “Dyosa.” He plays Mars, the illustrator who will fall in love with Josephine (Curtis).
He is also one of the lead stars of “Varga” where he portrays the character of James, the love interest of Varga (Mariel Rodriguez).
Marudo’s career zoomed when he joined the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Season 1. After that, he appeared on different shows like “Super Inggo,” “Kokey,” and the sitcom “Aalog-Alog.”
He also starred in the movie “You Got Me” with Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga.
In the 2008 Golden Screen awards, Marudo was nominated in the category of Breakthrough Performance by an Actor for the short film “Altar.”
Marudo also hosts and performs for the ASAP’08 all-male-group Coverboys.
He is excited as he will be part of the network’s upcoming shows like “Parekoy,” and “The Wedding".
He is also set to do a movie with actress-comedienne Pokwang, Ruffa Gutierrez and senator-actor Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr.

Expelled PDA Scholars out in the real world; ready to fulfill dreams
"Pinoy Dream Academy" (PDA) Season 2 expelled scholars Bunny, Iñaki and Sen and PDA's honorary scholar Poy are now out in the real world and ready to face the challenges in life to fulfill their dreams of becoming successful singers.
The four said they will continue their struggle to become professional singers so that they could share their talents to Filipinos especially to their fans and supporters.
"Ang sa akin po I would like to continue fighting and I would like to continue pursuing my dreams... the reason why lumipat ako sa Pilipinas to follow my heart and whatever opportunities that knock on my door gusto ko talagang i-try lahat," Sen said.
Sen is a thyroid cancer survivor. Back when he was 18 he was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma, advanced cancer that spread to his lungs and neck region. He fought and made it this far. He said that he is now healthy and enjoying life.
Sen also cleared speculations that he is gay. He said that he knows his real self and that he is a real man. He also defended his friend Bugoy, saying that reports surfacing that he is also gay, are not true either.
As for "Teacher Wife" Bunny, she said that she will start from scratch since she just underwent an operation and had a cyst removed. Right now, she is undergoing therapy and will soon be ready to face the challenges of the showbiz industry.
"Syempre po gusto kong kumanta. Sana ay maging maayos na ang boses ko at mapakita ko ang boses ko at saka gumaling po ako," she said.
Bunny said she is happy now that her cyst was removed. She also shared that her husband, fellow ex-scholar Chivas, is also doing fine.
"Gwapo pa din po at magaling na po siya," she said. Bunny, a mother of one, also appealed to the public to accept her as a singer even if she is already married. Bunny shared that aside from being a professional singer she also dreams of being a model, actress or a designer.
The honorary scholar, registered nurse Poy said that as preparation for the real world of music she will focus first on shaping up her body.
The biggest among the scholars, Poy promised to lose weight and to continue training under PDA mentor Kitchie Molina.
“The Stage Performer” Iñaki said that he is open to the idea of going back to theater but admitted that he would really be happy if he could be part of the mainstream.
Lessons learned
The expelled scholars shared the lessons they learned from the academy. According to Sen he learned to always believe in himself and to continue honing his talent.
"Dapat kailangang may bilib sa sarili you have to understand na you have to believe in yourself na kaya mo... That's the biggest lesson there and to continue to develop myself,” Sen said.
Bunny also agreed with Sen's words. She said that she is now more confident after believing that she can do well in singing.
"Kailangang lumaban at makukuha mo talaga kung ano ang gusto mo at kaya mo," she said.
Poy said that you need to stay positive and be humble.
Kasi sikat ka ngayon paano bukas," Poy explained.
"I learned inside that people know how to appreciate people for who they are.
The four were united in saying that all their mentors and teachers acted as one team to make sure they would become the best performers.
They said that what they are right now, they owe to their mentors and teachers.
The big winner
The four scholars also shared their feelings on who will win and who they wanted to win the contest. For them it’s either “The Independent Woman” Laarni or “The Farmer’s Son” Bugoy will win.
"Sa akin po it would be either Bugoy, Laarnie or Liezel," Sen said.
The four also denied reports saying that Laarni tried to distract them especially when the gala night is nearing. They said that they do not mind what Laarnie does, since they all did all their best during the gala nights.

Juday happy to be Cuyo Island's adopted daughter

Despite the ruling of the Supreme Court that upheld the multi-million tax evasion case against her, actress Judy Ann Santos has something to celebrate - the Municipality of Cuyo Island in Palawan has adopted her as its daughter.
In a report on GMA Network’s Showbiz Central, Santos said she was touched by the decision of Cuyo local officials because she has no hometown.
Santos’ best friend actress Beth Tamayo is also an adopted daughter of Cuyo.
Like Santos, Tamayo was overwhelmed by such honor.
Tamayo said that she was not expecting Cuyo officials to give her the same honor that they bestowed on Santos.
The adoption rites took place during the screening of Santos’ movie “Ploning" in Cuyo.
"Nagpunta din kami doon not only for the fiesta itself and for the screening of Ploning but also for the medical mission na gagawin namin for the hospital.
On SC’s ruling
Meanwhile, Santos said she was not bothered by the decision of the Supreme Court on Tuesday that junked her plea against the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), which had ordered her arraignment for tax evasion.
“Basta, nagdadasal ako na sana matapos na. Kung ano man ang magiging hatol ng Korte haharapin ko naman be it guilty or not," Santos said. - GMANews.TV

No reunion for Sharon and Gabby
Fans who were anticipating a possible reconciliation between returning actor Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta were in for a let-down as the two stars failed to cross paths at the For The First Time premiere held last August 26 at SM Megamall.
The Megastar and husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan arrived first and were promptly ushered into Cinema 10 where KC’s grandmother Elaine Gamboa and the Pangilinan clan—which included Gary Valenciano and wife Angeli—were already seated. Members of the Gamboa-Sotto family were also in attendance to show their support for KC.
Ardent fans of the Gabby-Sharon love team, considered the hottest tandem in Philippine cinema almost three decades ago, were eagerly awaiting a Gabby and Sharon joint sighting that night. But things weren’t meant to be as the two stars arrived within half an hour of each other and were even seated in opposite theaters.
Gabby and members of the Concepcion family were ushered into Cinema 9, along with Direk Wenn Deramas and Pinoy Big Brother teens Alex Anselmuccio, Robi Domingo, and Ejay Falcon.
Gabby, who has been vocal about being a strong supporter of his daughter’s debut movie, even personally thanked the crowd inside the theater for attending.
The proud father decided to confirm his attendance after KC personally invited him. And even though he and his ex-wife did not get to meet face-to-face, the proud parents both seemed equally impressed with their daughter’s performance.

Ely Buendia now in stable condition at Makati Medical Center

Singer-songwriter and Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia is now in stable condition at the Makati Medical Center where he was treated after suffering chest pains in the middle of the long-awaited Eraserheads reunion concert Saturday night.
According to Buendia's friend filmmaker Joyce Bernal, the singer was very excited about the concert but was also very stressed--his mother died early morning of Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest.
She was recovering from surgery done just days before to treat her intestinal cancer.
The concert's producer Francis Lumen, who is also the owner of MTV Philippines, said that Buendia is resting to recover from stress and exhaustion.
Buendia's family is requesting the media to refrain from interviews and shooting video of the singer.
The Eraserheads vocalist was rushed to the Makati Medical Center Saturday night a little past 10 pm.
The concert held at the Bonifacio Global City open field was cut short as a result.
Unconfirmed reports earlier said Buendia suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the emergency room for treatment.
A witness at the emergency room told abs-cbnNEWS.com that Buendia appeared unconscious and was taken to the critical care area. The witness said several doctors rushed to Buendia and a minor commotion ensued.
Buendia's sister announced at the concert that the Eraserheads' frontman "is in a lot of physical and emotional stress lately."
Despite his mother's death on August 28, the Eraserheads vocalist decided to push through with the concert, anyway.
Buendia himself had a previous heart attack in January 2007.
The Eraserheads reunion concert became controversial after its first sponsor, cigarette-maker Philip Morris, was accused of violating Philippine laws prohibiting tobacco companies from sponsoring concerts and other promotional events.
When Philip Morris pulled out of the production due to legal concerns, it was Lumen who took over the sponsorship of the show.
The Eraserheads was the most successful Filipino band of the 1990s. They broke up in 2002.
