Known to be the one and only Megastar in the country, Sharon Cuneta has been an icon in the industry for three decades. She will be honored for her contribution to the showbiz world as ABS-CBN offers her and Pinoy viewers worldwide a documentary special entitled “Mega Tatlong Dekada”. It airs on September 21, Sunday at 8:45 while her “Mega 30 Concert” airs the week after, September 28 on ABS-CBN.

“Mega Tatlong Dekada” is a two hour documentary special that chronicles the 30 colorful and dramatic years of Cuneta’s journey in show business. This showcases the highlights of her life as well as the low moments, both of which are a part of her and have contributed to making her the person she is today.

All of her victories and failures, the magnitude of who she is, her influence and power, the money and the fame – all of these will be bared in this very special documentary.

The documentary starts with how Sharon began her journey through the entertainment world, the very young Sharon with the launch of her singing career and her very first hit single “Mr. DJ”. This includes her first TV commercial and television show. It also highlights the start of the incomparable tandem of Sharon and Gabby Concepcion in TV and film, which eventually made them household names. Noteworthy blockbuster flicks were “Dear Heart,” “PS I Love You” and “My Only Love.”

There will also be the Megastar’s experiences as she went through personal and financial crises and the hardships and joy of being a single mother. But with everything that has happened in her life, the Megastar has still stayed on top. She partnered anew with matinee idol Richard Gomez, bad boy action star Robin Padilla and the late “Da King,” Fernando Poe Jr. As she faced fate's challenges, she turned into a woman worthy of her title, a Mega star.

The documentary also features her marriage with Senator Kiko Pangilinan, her daughters Miel and Frankie, and KC as she enters showbiz, as well as her showbiz “sister” Judy Ann Santos. Interviews of over a hundred people who know the Mega star well, both personally and professionally, will interest viewers as they share their moments with and love for Cuneta.

A special panel composed of Bibeth Orteza, Laurice Guillen and Karen Davila - accomplished women in their respective fields have also been put together to do an intimate interview with the country's beloved Megastar.
